These Guys Went Wingsuit Flying… Over An Active Volcano

If you thought proximity flying couldn’t get any more dangerous, you were wrong

As if wing suit flying wasn’t gnarly enough, the RedBull wingsuit team took things up a notch. They headed over to Indonesia, and took flight over an active volcano.

Well, the volcano in question; Mount Bromo is definitely active, but in a puffing-out-the-ocasional-bit-of-smoke kind of way. It’s not quite seas of hot lava, but the guys are still flying over the flippin’ top of it, which is certainly one up from our commute to work.

The view from above Mount Bromo must be simply staggering, even if the sulphur rising from the fiery pit below probably made it smell like Steve had packed egg mayo in his parachute bag by mistake again.

Not content, the guys then completed another jump, this time on more traditional parachutes, where they hooked up mid air, and strung a massive Indonesian flag between them as they passed over the eggy volcano once again.
