Suray Fernández and SXS Films
Originally hailing from the tiny independent principality Andorra which nestles in between France and Spain in the Pyrenees mountains, Suray Fernández is an exceptionally talented and versatile snowboarder who has been wowing fans and fellow pros alike since participating in her first open contests in 2007. She was subsequently spotted by Roxy Snowboarding, and has been going from strength to strength ever since.
Equally at home scouting out undiscovered backcountry spots, pulling incredible stunts at terrain parks, or even taking to the streets, Fernández has expanded her snowboarding skills over the years to become a consummate all-rounder. As if that wasn’t enough, she’s branched out into teaching so others can benefit from her years of practice and experimentation, and she has even tried her hand at skateboarding in the belief that it might shed some light on the finer details of her main sport. Combine that with her ventures into the glamorous world of snowboarding movies, not to mention her appearances on the popular Roxy Podcast, and it becomes obvious that she really is the complete package.
In 2012 Fernández teamed up with a whole host of fantastic female snowboarders, including Margot Rozies Ursina Haller, Sina Candrian and Aline Bock, in Lipstick Productions’ movie Eurotic. Right now though we’re focussing on Fernández, so here are some of her choicest cuts from the movie as re-edited by the guys from SXS Films. So sit back and enjoy some sweet steeze as the Andorran shredder shows the off some of her most aggressive moves.
