Hackers claim to have uncovered nude pictures of US pro surfer Alana Blanchard, and have apparently been hawking them around the internet today.
The images of Blanchard were supposedly among the haul that included explicit pictures and videos of many mainstream celebrities, including Kelly Brook, Cat Deeley, Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, and Kirsten Dunst.
“It’s just a really shitty thing to do.”
According to news reports pictures of the hacked celebrities have been circulating on numerous websites. Although many that initially posted them have since taken them down following the furious online response from commentators.
While it’s interesting that a surfer is deemed ‘worthy’ of the attentions of the cyber-attack’s perpetrators, we feel sorry that Alana’s profile is high enough to have put her in the firing line.
We’d strongly encourage you not to click on any links claiming to show the hacked images of Alana Blanchard, or any of the other victims.
Furthermore, posting or reposting the images may be in violation of both privacy laws and defamation laws, and doing so could result in legal action being taken against you.
Maybe more importantly, it’s just a really shitty thing to do.
