No one ever said the French leg of the Enduro World Series was going to be easy. With tricky fast descents and insanely steep terrain, there was bound to be a few crashes and punctures.

Jared Graves had a tough first day. After a faceplant at the bottom of a climb on Stage 2 and a near flat tyre on Stage 3, Graves finished in third place behind Justin Leov.

However, a punctured tyre on Stage 5 the next day pushed a dismayed Leov out of the competition, leaving Jared Graves room to storm ahead and claim first place.

Meanwhile in women’s heats, Tracy Moseley remained unbeatable for the second time after beating rival Anne-Caro Chausson by over two minutes. Moseley remained strong the whole weekend, finishing first in five out of six stages.

The course pushed even the best riders to their limit, with an overall 6000m of timed descending. It got the better of many including EWS managing director Chris Ball who came round this corner a little too fast…
