Having sifted through literally thousands of entries, the judges have final chosen the winner of the 2016 National Geographic Travel Photographer Of The Year Competition, and the winning snap is a belter!
Grant Prize: Winter Horseman by Anthony Lau
The grand prize was won by Hong Kong based photographer Anthony Lau for his picture titled Winter Horsemen. The picture, depicting Inner Mongolian horsemen showing off their skills while ranching wild horses, was taken during the freezing winter in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China.
As a prize for the best photo, Lau wins even-day Polar Bear Photo Safari for two at Churchill Wild–Seal River Heritage Lodge and, of course, the prestige of adding National Geographic Photographer Of The Year 2016 to his CV.
