The future is coming. There’s no avoiding it. The past has already gone, the present is happening right this second, and the future walks confidently towards us from the horizon wearing nothing but a shadowy cloak of mystery. “What will become of you…,” the future whispers, “…what will become of us?”

Ah, yes, the future; a blank canvas of unrealised ideas, and hyper-creative visions. Nowhere is this idea of the future truer than in the blueprints of unbuilt architecture. The buildings of the future can, in theory, be anything we want them to be because the practical realities of actually building them is a boring bridge that’s yet to be crossed.

And so, putting the philosophy of the future to one side for a second, let us revel in the madness and the magnificence of future hotels. Will all of these get built? It’s impossible to say, unless you’re a time traveller from the future (if you are from the future, please do contact us). But, anyway, we think you’ll agree that some of these hotel designs are seriously cool.
