How Much Would You Pay To Chill In This Awesome Floating Hotel?

You better start saving now...it's pretty expensive.

No matter how much we might bleat on about travelling and how great it is to get out there and see new stuff, sometimes we just want to chill in our hotel room and watch crap television. A startling confession from an action sports and adventure journalist admittedly, but it’s a statement we’d stand by (even if you threw like half a dozen lion-filled hurricanes at our face and demanded that we repent).

This floating hotel, in Sydney Harbour, is the kind of hotel that we’d be more than happy to lounge around in for hour, after hour, after hour. It’s called the Spontaneity Suite and it comprises of two 20-foot shipping containers. And, I mean, just look at it. Look how nice it is.

The small floating palace is made up of a floor-to-ceiling glass front, a rooftop terrace, room service, and a jacuzzi. It also offers free transfers via boat because, let’s face it, swimming there would probably ruin your fine dining outfits.

If you’re looking at the pictures of this awesome little hotel, and thinking you’d love to spend a fortnight kicking back in these genuinely amazing surroundings…prepare to be disappointed. The hotel offers a one-night only policy. Still, one night in heaven is better than no nights. Am-I-right?! Oh, and you should know that one night’s stay will set you back an eye-popping $36,000 Australian Dollars ($25,454 USD). Better start saving now, then.
