There’s a secret staircase somewhere in Hawaii. Commonly referred to as the ‘Stairway to Heaven’, the path was installed in the second world war to allow military access to a radio antennae. It’s now illegal to climb the route, but with views so terrifyingly beautiful, it’s almost impossible to keep travellers away.
The staircase can be found on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, and due to the ban enforced on the stairs by the Hawaiian government, a guard is often present at the entry point during the day, meaning climbers have to sneak past or find another way to get onto the stair set.
