Kitesurfing is tricky. You have to master aspects of wake boarding, wind surfing, paragliding, and gymnastics.
If you’ve never seen kite surfing, imagine somebody being dragged across a lake by a gigantic kite, while you try to balance on a cut down wakeboard. Throw in a few rotations and flip tricks along the way, and you’re just getting started.
Hannah Whiteley is one of the best in the world, and was honoured with the only slightly misogynistic title of “Most Influential Girl Kite Surfer 2012” a few years back. So how does she spice things up a little? By kitesurfing in high heels, obviously.
She said of her shoe based tomfoolery: “Kitesurfing in high heels was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I love trying different things and having fun with kiting.
“You don’t have to be a guy or a boyish girl to kitesurf, kiting is for everyone and a beautiful passion” adding ” 🙂 ” to really drive that point home.
