Thought running was the best exercise you could do to build stamina and lose a few pounds? It turns out interval training is way better.

Just twenty minutes of interval training (or HIIT) produces the same physiological effects in the body and improved performance as 90 minutes of steady jogging, according to the Journal of Physiology.
