When you’re walking over a bridge, you like to think that the bridge itself has enough structural integrity not to completely give-way on you and your mates. But, as this terrifying footage reveals, bridges can’t always be trusted to do their job.

Filmed in New Zealand, the video below shows the frightening moment a suspension bridge collapsed on a group of hikers as they made their way across. It’s all so sudden. One second everything is completely fine, the next…it’s all completely wrong. The hikers fall 26ft and, we’re glad to report, survived the incident without serious injury. Scary stuff.
