The Mindbender series may have been a brand new range of skis for 2020, but they’ve quickly gained a cult following from those who like things powerful and damp. The Mindbender 108 Ti sits towards the wide end of the range, offering bucket loads of power and stability across the entire mountain in a mid-fat package.
K2 Mindbender 108 Ti Build
The Mindbender range features two different builds that feature either a carbon or titanal layer. These 108s feature a titanal layer sitting above the Fir and Aspen wood core.

The metal layer is cut into a Y shape, to not only save a little weight, but to help direct energy where it’s needed most. From the tip, the titanium layer covers both edges, with a small section of the midsection exposed, before spanning the full width underfoot, then tapering as it reaches close to the tail.
This construction results in a ski that’s pretty stiff – both torsionally and longitudinally – underfoot. It’s nothing like the stout Scott Pures, but it’ll certainly be able to hold its own while you’re charging through the chop, or just railing groomers.
A slightly softer tip and tail ensures you’ll be able to release the tails from a turn, giving you the option to dump speed at will, while also making for a slightly easier turn initiation.
