There’s just over a month until Mike takes on the 13.1-mile half marathon distance, so he decided to rope in a personal trainer to help him prepare.
Despite discovering that he has no body strength, hasn’t got a clue what a burpee is, and isn’t doing enough mileage to get round the course comfortably, Mike seems surprisingly chipper.
He’s decided to take Jonny’s advice and up the distance he’s running in half marathon training so that hopefully he has a chance of running the full route without too much pain. Hopefully.
