When it comes to high-risk science demonstrations, Norwegian physicist Andreas Wahl definitely has previous. His last daredevil exhibition, which aimed to underline the concrete nature of a well-established scientific theory, saw him drop 14 metres to the ground with only a rope and a counter-weight between himself and horrible injury.
Not satisfied with putting his neck on the line once, Andreas has gone and done it again with another ballsy science practical. This time, he’s brought a rifle to a swimming pool to show why guns fired underwater are far less likely to kill you. Rather than shoot at a dummy, or a slab of cottage cheese like a normal person, Wahl turns the gun on himself (which, we think you’ll agree, is pretty next level on the courage scale).
