Here’s What Happens When A Red Hot Ball Of Metal Meets A Mobile Phone

This is one way to stop an annoying Nokia ring tone...

Show me a man who doesn’t like fire, and I’ll show you a liar. Fire is primal; it’s the birth of the universe, the heat-death of the solar system, the preferred method of execution for certain characters in HBO’s Game Of Thrones. Think you could live without fire? Think fire isn’t all that? Enjoy your cold, unmelted, marshmallows dude…fire is everything.

Recently, we’ve become more than a bit obsessed with a certain type of fire-making mischief. Specifically, the fires caused by red hot nickel balls on the ‘carsandwater’ YouTube channel. A few weeks ago, you might remember us posting a video that demonstrated exactly what happens when a hot ball of metal meets a foam block.

If you liked that video, if it floated your proverbial boat, then you’re going to be jumping around the house with excitement when we show you the next ball-filled video. The gist of it, if you’re even bothering to read this and haven’t already jumped to the video, is an investigate look at what happens when a red not nickel ball meets a Nokia 3310.

Young people! A Nokia 3310 is the phone everyone had before Apple came along with their iPhones, and their smartphone sorcery. The Nokia 3310 is an icon of a time a long gone, capable of making calls, sending texts, and letting you guide a snake through the walls of a rectangle. And, yeah, this guy just obliterated one with a miniature sun.
