If you live in the countryside, near mountains or just generally outside of a city, there’s a good chance that keeping an eye open for animals on the road is part of your daily routine.

This video comes from Russia though, where an irresponsible driver made an overtake without being able to see enough of the road to safely do just that.

The shocking scenes that follow show the results of the poor decision, and the collision with a pretty-weighty looking moose. Not only is this appalling for the animal of course, but due to the build of a moose, they can also be one of the most dangerous creatures to hit while driving, with varying deaths coming out of such collisions.

It just shows what can happen when you don’t pay full attention on the roads.
