When you’re up on the slopes, doing your thing, the last thing you expect to bump into is a flesh-eating shark. Unfortunately for the two-dimensional characters in Avalanche Sharks, that’s exactly the situation they’re confronted with (via the medium of hilariously-shit special effects). If you’ve never heard of Avalanche Sharks, we’ll let the film’s blurb fill you in. We think it might just be the greatest compilation of words in human history.
“Bikini Snow Day is the busiest day of the year at Mammoth Mountain, and the resort is packed with wild co-eds looking for a good time. When an unexpected avalanche rumbles down the mountain, it awakens ancient spirits in the form of massive sharks with a taste for human flesh. As the body count begins to pile up, the local sheriff must form an unlikely alliance with a motley crew of locals and tourists in order to kill off the terrifying creatures before it’s too late.”
This film, which is part of the so-bad-it’s-good movie genre, was released in 2013. As of the 30th of June, we’re happy to report that it will be available on demand and in glorious high definition. The trailer, which you can check out above, is well worth a watch. We’ve thrown in some screen shots at the bottom of this piece, which you’re welcome to look at anytime you wish.
