If you’re one of those people who need to change their underwear every time you find yourself on the third floor of a building, you probably won’t want to spend a night at the Skylodge.

Located near the city of Cuzco, on a cliff-face in the Peruvian Andes, these transparent pods hang 400 feet above the ground. They’re operated by the tour company Natura Vive, and overlook the breathtaking Sacred Valley – an area known for its epic scenery and lethal roads.

Needless to say, these seriously extreme hotel capsules are not for the faint-hearted. If you want to stay in one, you’ll have to climb a 400-foot steel ladder that’s embedded into the cliff-face. Or, if you don’t fancy that, you can hike your way up or use an elaborate zip-wire thingamajig.

Contrary to what Mastercard would have you believe, memories like this aren’t priceless. Not only will Skylodge exhaust a large portion of your courage reserves, it will also take up a fair chunk of your financial reserves. Prices are approximate, but this place would set you back about $300 USD.
