The sport of cycling has been taking Great Britain by storm for a few years now, and it’s certainly starting to show in the support for the professional circuit, with thousands around the nation turning out to cheer on the riders at the Tour of Britain.
Homegrown favourites including Etikk-Quickstep rider Mark Cavenish and Team Wiggins knight Sir Bradley Wiggins were always going to draw a big crowd, but it’s great to see the support extending even past that and drawing such a mainstream gaze.
We took in stage two of the Tour on Monday, and went along to the start of the fourth stage today in Edinburgh. Here are a few behind-the-scenes snaps we picked up along the way.
