Nitro Circus break so many world records that it’s no longer a surprise for us to wake up in the morning, check our phones and yell: “no f*cking way”. The guy downstairs is getting a little pissed off.
We’re almost certain we woke up the whole flat block this morning though, after learning the news that Ryan “R-Willy” Williams had stuck the first ever triple front flip on a BMX.
Ryan went go-for-go with Andrew Ahumada in the bid to become the first to stomp the trick, but after a full five goes each and an emotional shoutout from Williams to the late Erik Roner, the prolific Aussie managed to land the flip and ride away.
The first few attempts from each rider are featured in the video above as well, and believe us when we say that they are ab-so-lute-ly brutal. Not every rider would be walking away from those hits and trying again, but then again, since when has any Nitro Circus athlete been counted as “any other rider”.
Williams has previously shot into the headlines with world first’s including the bikeflip front flip, the BMX superman double seat grab front flip, and the tailwhip kickless rewind, but needless to say, this stunt takes its place at the top of the pack.
Nitro Circus have now been responsible for the world’s first mountain bike triple backflip, motocross triple backflip, BMX quadruple backflip and BMX triple frontflip amongst so, so much else. Another absolute banger from the men who work in the profession of progression.
