The Sea Otter Classic downhill returned last weekend, and judging by the event edit above, there was more than just a bit of a party atmosphere.
The course isn’t the most technical in the world, but it certainly puts fitness to the test, with plenty of pedalling, lots of control needed and a solid run of jumps in there to keep the fans cheering too.
As the legendary Cedric Gracia put it, “you brake, you lose”, so American Aaron Gwin must have kept his hands off those levers as he raced to the top of the podium to pop yet more champagne after winning in Lourdes earlier this month.
It was as much about the party as the riding though, so sit back, grab a beer and check out all the action from Monterey, California.
