We’ve watched this ten times now, and this video has still got us scratching our head. The cyclist in Taiwan is riding a UBike, which is a public rental bike, much like the Boris Bikes in London.

However, when she crosses the busy road on a zebra crossing, a motorist coming the other way crashes at speed into her. Miraculously, however, the woman manages to somehow step off her bike just in time.

When you see the mangled bike crash into the bonnet of another oncoming vehicle, you realise quite how lucky she was. Remarkably, after the incident, the woman calmly walks up the road a little, picks her bag up, places it safely on the pavement, before going back and rescuing her bike.

Between this relaxed aftermath, and the skill her split-second dismount took, you kind of have to question how often this happens to her.

Oh, and a special mention must go to the arsehole in the taxi, in front of the car with the dashboard cam. After it all unfolded, he got out of his car, but didn’t go to check if the girl was alright, but simply how much damage the bike did to his car. Way to be a scumbag, scumbag.
