The mountain bike world cup is over for another year – but the season is not done yet! Oh no, no, no. It’s world championship week in Vallnord, Andorra, and judging by the course for the finals, it looks like it’s going to be mad.
The footage below comes from Cesar Rojo’s helmet-cam, and was filmed during the Master’s World Championships in Vallnord last week that Rojo went on to win. Parts of the course look absolutely bonkers, and the rest, well, it doesn’t look too safe either.
Only time will tell if Aaron Gwin and Rachel Atherton will be able to turn their overall world cup wins into World Champ years as well, but but if there’s one thing we can take away from this footage, it’s that it’s not going to be an easy task.
Oh, and we can also deduct that if you ever see Cesar Rojo on a mountain bike trail, you should probably get out of the way.
A run down Vallnord World Champs track on my GoPro. Sorry for the Spanish strong language, I thought I was going to die when someone crossed in front after a jump. Thanks everyone for the messages, it’s been amazing to win the Master World Champs!Check the exclusive prototype bike I raced here, designed by Cero Design https://www.facebook.com/CeroDesign/photos/a.200400449994378.50959.161297213904702/1032090090158739
