Watch: Cavendish Screams Warning to Tour de France Peloton As French Police Flank Race

'Moto! Moto!' - On-bike footage shows British sprinter shout for attention of other riders

GoPro’s partnership with the Tour de France is throwing up some great clips this year, not least those which capture the madness like never before right from the middle of the peloton.

The latest footage taken from the bike-mounted cameras shows Mark Cavendish being a good guy and yelling his head off to warn the rest of the group that the gendarmes – the French branch of the armed forces in charge of general law – are on their way up the side of the road.

Presumably this call is to get the rest of the peloton prepped to clear the way as oppose to giving them a chance to hide the stash of weed they bought from their mate last night, but either way, it’s interesting to see, particularly given the up-close nature of the POV footage.
