A week without a Nitro Circus world first would be like a week without a weekend. You always know that it’s going to come around eventually, but that doesn’t mean you look forward to it any less, and it certainly doesn’t make it any less of a big deal.
The latest in the never-ending phenomenon that is action sports progression is the BMX superman double seat grab front flip, and it comes from regular record-breaker and riding innovator Ryan Williams.

Ryan has a bit of a history when it comes to landing this sort of thing – and by ‘this sort of thing’ of course, we mean incredibly complicated, ridiculously dangerous stunts that nobody on a BMX has ever tried before.
He’s got more than a dozen world’s firsts to his name.
The one that he’s probably best known for would be this little video below. It was taken in France in 2013, and it shows a then 18-year-old Ryan stomping the first ever frontflip bikeflip. It’s a trick that never should have been possible for the human race.
The double grab frontflip is pretty damn intense as well of course. As the commentator put it: “In all my years of calling BMX, it’s the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s never been landed before anywhere in the world.”
What’s next in store for the Nitro Circus crew? Well, we’re not sure what Ryan has next got in mind, but moto team member and X-fighter Josh Sheehan is now all set to try the first ever triple backflip on a motorbike at Pastranaland on April 28th. Bring it on.
