Think walking looks fun? Don't believe the hype....

After years of being a sport just for middle aged parents and ramblers, hiking has suddenly become cool.

Thanks to hipster blogs and photos all over the internet, as well as the rise of the ‘lumber sexual’, the hills and mountains all over the UK are now full of twenty somethings in their Canada Goose jackets, exploring the outdoors.

But here’s the thing. Hiking on Instagram is a trick, hiking on Instagram is an illusion, hiking on Instagram is a lie. Here’s what hiking is really like, when the iPhones have been put away….
