It’s been quite a year for Brandon Semenuk. He dropped the stunning feature film ‘Revel in the Chaos’ and starred in what has been hailed as the greatest mountain bike film segment ever in unReal.
What has been missing for the Canadian slopestyle star this year, though, is success on the Diamond Tour, at the top level of competition, where he’s normally in control. On that front, fellow Canadian Brett Rheeder has dominated; winning at Crankworx Rotorua and Les 2 Alpes this year… But Crankworx Whistler, well, that’s where Semenuk comes into his own.
Semenuk had won three times at Red Bull Joyride before, capturing six podiums, the first of which came when he was only 16. You can now make that four wins and seven podiums though, because the king is back on top – and he reclaimed his Crankworx Whistler crown with one of the greatest mountain bike slopestyle runs of all time. This is some serious video game shit…
