OK. It’s been touch and go for a few years but we can officially confirm, to you our audience reading this, that Brendan Fairclough is now officially our favourite Brendan. It was, by no means, an easy decision to make. ‘The Mummy’ starring Brendan Fraser, people. Remember ‘The Mummy’. That was good, wasn’t it? Bit like original Indiana Jones but not quite as good. Bit like Tomb Raider without your teenage crush, the extremely pixelated Lara Croft, anywhere to be seen. A solid three stars out of five fare is ‘The Mummy’, a very decent if slightly flawed romp featuring Brendan Fraser.
It’s not the Lockdown Rampage video series with Brendan Fairclough though, is it? That’s not what ‘The Mummy’ is. That’s not what a sweeping cinematic story about a mummy’s curse, and scarab beetles, and the ten plagues of Egypt brings to the table (definitely going to have rewatch this film and get it out of our system – it’s impacting too much on our attempts to tell you about Bren-Dawg Fair-Dawg’s home video content).
“Don’t try this at home and stay safe. I’m a trained professional”
Lockdown Rampage is like regular Rampage except instead of sweeping Utah vistas and Red Bull branding literally everywhere, it features the exterior of Brendo Fairclo’s, admittedly very nice, house.
“Loving films these at home for you guys. Gets me back out on the mountain bike and feeling like I’m back at home. I mean it’s no UCI World Cup but keeps me out of trouble… sort of,” Brendan writes in the video’s YouTube description before adding, “Thanks for watching and already dreaming up ideas for the next one. Don’t try this at home and stay safe. I’m a trained professional.”
