It is a highly carcinogenic activity and should be avoided at all costs. However, on the flipside of self destruction, the gym will pass the time and make you fitter and stronger, so you can ski longer and harder.
It will also make you deathly boring to all your friends as you tell them for the third time that you did a hundred pull ups or whatever you do in the gym.*
