Tensions between action sports and authorities can be tense at times. Be that cops running skate kids over in patrol cars, or snowboarders breaking into spots for some illicit shredding. Every now and again the two worlds collide and sparks can fly.

However, in Iceland things seem to be a little different. @logreglan is the official Instagram account of the Police department in the nations capital, Reykjavik, and they look like they’re a lot more down with action sports. And candy floss.

Is it any coincidence that, with a laid-back police department like this, Iceland enjoys one of the lowest crime rates in the world?
