The 13th Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival is set to hit the Scottish capital this weekend, and if you live outdoors and love all things wilderness, you’re going to need to get along.
Split into five sessions taking place across Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February, the schedule features everything from first ascents of daring routes to Brandon Semenuk’s famous ‘One Shot’, a look at the life of the late Dean Potter and a feature on a skier who goes only by the name of snowflake. Pretty diverse then.
There’s more acclaimed and award-nominated films in there than you could throw a stick at, and best of all, you’ve probably never heard of the majority. The fest is sure to get you hyped up on life and stoked for your next adventure.
Each session at the EMFF features a series of carefully selected and highly-rated recent films, with speakers also featuring at all but one of the sessions.
