This Crazy ‘Spacenet’ Will Be Every BASE Jumper’s Dream… And Everyone Else’s Nightmare

This hand-woven net let's you leap from a net hanging sketchily over a canyon in Moab

The Mothership Spacenet is an awesome new invention that will make any real BASE jumper drool. But what exactly is it? Well it’s the coolest thing to ever be hand-woven for a start.

The net is basically a giant jump point hanging over a canyon in the Utah desert that lets budding BASE jumpers get an ideal start. You may not want to read more if you suffer from vertigo.

The concept came from Andy Lewis, and it sees the net suspended to the sides of the Moab canyon, with budding jumpers leaping out of a gap in the net to take on the giant drop below.

With over 50 people working on the final product, it was certainly no walk in the park to turn the dream into a reality, but it certainly seems like it was worth it in the end! So who’s next?
