Although a long way off at the moment, when December hits, most people think about one one of two things: heading to the snow for some shredding, or packing themselves into a box with some newspaper and hibernating for the winter.
However, some people want something a little different. How does hiring a van and heading to the coast of Portugal for an epic few weeks of surfing sound? Kind of perfect, right?
That’s exactly what Tay and Sheb Frame did at the tail end of 2014. They got themselves a rolling metal home and lived the nomadic surf life for two perfect looking weeks.
There were beach side camp-fires, hanging out with locals, sun-rise lit coffees, and celebrating New Year the Portuguese way. Oh, and a whole bunch of big, empty waves.
Faced with this, you can keep your dry turkey and moist Brussels sprouts. Next year, we’re off South to Portugal.
