How would you celebrate the last week of your local bike festival? Let’s be honest, you probably wouldn’t, as most people don’t have a local bike festival, let alone one that lasts for numerous weeks.
However, in Queenstown in the South of New Zealand, things are a little different. And so is Fabien Cousinie. The French down hill MTB pro decided to celebrate the closing of the show on a bike.
A tiny, child’s bike.
Jumping out of an aeroplane with it.
Our old pal Fab teamed up with the NoZone Skydive school and headed for the skies for a tandem jump. Half way down, he positioned the bike between his legs, and must have preyed that his balls weren’t seconds away from entering his skull.
Happily, the landing was text-book (assuming there is a text book on landing a child’s bike from 6,000 feet), and Cousinie rode away into the sunset. Well, rode away a few yards into the arms of an instructor, at least.
