Some animals just want to see the world burn. And the wild hippo is certainly one of those – right up there with the Joker from The Dark Knight and rollerbladers who turn up at skate parks.

Not only are the species one of the most dangerous in Africa, they have been said to “commonly attack humans whether in boats or on land with no apparent provocation.”

They basically just think we’re a bunch of dicks, and after reading the above, you’ll probably agree that the feeling is mutual.

So, when you’re out on a safari and you see one explode out of the water in slow-motion (admittedly the slow-mo may have been added later), you’re probably going to panic. That’s exactly what happens in the video up top, and it’s absolutely insane.
