Water slides are great, aren’t they? They’re everything you love about slides, combined with everything you love about water. They’re testament to the power of gravity, and a great excuse to get really wet. They’re water slides, and they’re fucking brilliant.

The only problem with sliding on water slides is that the experience is usually over far too quickly. Just when you’re starting to really enjoy them, you come flying out the end and make an almighty splash in the landing zone.

With that in mind, wouldn’t it be great if someone went and made a water slide that just went on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on? Well, yes, that would be ok with us. But where, who, what, when, and why? Surely, at this stage in our evolution, a never-ending slide is just an impossible dream?

The reality of a never-ending water slide might just be closer than you think, especially after watching this GoPro footage from the 2,000-foot water slide at Sussex County’s Action Park. Employee Jason Mulder shot the footage for NJ Advance on the 10th of July. Incredibly, he slides at speed for well over a minute.

We have never wanted to try something more than this.
