Until big-shot Hollywood producers commission Mpora’s ‘Tragic Trike’ film script, we’ll just have to settle for seeing red hot Drift Trike action on the internet rather than the big screen. Fortunately for us the folks over at EE have come along and created this cracking little video featuring, you guessed it, Drift Trikes!
Shot in the South Downs, the video features all round stuntman and resident lunatic, Joe Rackley and his trusty sidekick Duncan Carr winning at life with the help of their trusty trikes.
We don’t want to give too much away, but basically there’s a twist to the end…and a really impressive one at that. If you’re thinking, based on the screen grabs, that this video features one Drift Trike ramping over another Trike (with the rider still seated!)…you’d be right. #SpoilerAlert
To add a cherry to the top of an already very impressive cake, this is in our opinion is a worlds first! This has never been done before, and you could have seen the test runs you would have seen why. Bruised back sides, twisted trikes and broken ramps nearly put an end to the jump off ever happening, but with a few tweaks and a side order of bravery/man up our guys were ready to hit the record button. The worlds first to jump a fellow Drift Trike!
So, what’s all this high-octane Drift Triking in aid of? If you’re thinking, based on a feeling in your gut, that the content was created in honour of and with EE’s new 4GEE Action Cam…you’d be right again. EE have a new action camera and we’re pretty excited about it. In fact, we might head outside now try and jump our mates!
*heads outside, hires Boris bike… mates disappear*
In all seriousness, the EE 4GEE Action Cam comes with some seriously nifty features. You can, for example, live stream the action over 4G straight from your camera to a video sharing app called skeegle so no matter where you are you can always show off to your friends and family. The camera also comes with the Viewfinder Watch that helps you control the camera, and the shot, from your wrist. Technology, hey?
Hold onto your helmets, because we’re not finished yet. The 4GEE also comes with a 13MP camera that can take high-quality stills and full HD video. On top of this, the rechargeable Lithium-ion battery will give you up to three hours of live streaming.
*heads outside, still no sign of mates*
