Stickers have been part of skate culture since day dot. Originally an advertising tool for brands – and a way for pros to show their allegiance to those brands – they were quickly adopted by the wider skate community and used to customise everything from decks to school desks and street spots.

The book features the best skateboard stickers – both classic and new – from the 1970s to today

Now an British publisher has decided to celebrate this skate-specific art form by gathering together a collection of the most famous stickers in a single book. Check out a selection here.

Stickerbomb Skate: 150 Classic Skateboard Stickers, which will be released in March, gathers together “the best skateboard stickers – both classic and new – from the 1970s to today,” according to its publishers.

That might sound like a bold claim, but with contributions from five of the most influential skateboard brands – Santa Cruz, Girl, Real Skateboards, Toy Machine and Alien Workshop, the book certainly ticks most of the boxes.

It also features interviews with key artists involved in each of the brans, including Ed Templeton of Toy Machine and Andy Jenkins from Girl.

All the stickers featured in the book will be fully peelable, so you can customise your kit with classics to your heart’s content should you wish. Alternatively, you could leave them in place and just appreciate this celebration of an often overlooked art form as a coffee table book.
