It’s Easy To See Why This Roof Dropping Skate Edit Is Going Viral…

Jaws redefines skateboarding in this must-see part

How many skate edits drop a week, do you think? 50? 100? 200? Figures released never by the Office Of National Statistics suggest that in 2014, an average of 17,323 edits dropped every week. This year, that fictional statistic is set to increase.

So, with such a crowded market, how do you make your piece stand out? You could get some full frontal nudity on camera. There’s always a market for that, but it’s kind of cheap, right?

How how about a hideous injury? That’ll get the internet’s attention, but it does come at some personal cost. Get it right and the gory glory is yours. Get it wrong and you’ll be hobbling to the the job centre for the rest of your life.

“It’s not until you see other skaters stack it that you realise quite how gnarly Jaws is”

So, with these two options out of the window, what are you left with? Getting creative. And that’s exactly what Jaws (or Aaron Homoki, as his nearest and dearest call him) did.

He ditched the conventional norm of skating on the roads, and decided to get a little higher. Jaws hit the roofs of numerous houses across some local spots, and absolutely threw down. Presumably, his knees have handed their notice in, and are looking for alternative employment after this much abuse.

Jaws makes the drops look so clean and effortless that it’s not until you see a whole collection of skaters stacking the same drops at the end of the video that you really understand quite how gnarly this is.

Oh, and no, we didn’t know what a ‘Criddler’ was either. We’ve looked it up to save you the effort though. The ever reliable Urban Dictionary suggests it’s a very messed up meth-head. “Like a tweeker who will steal your shit & then help you look for it“.

We think Jaws may have just redefined it as a fearless roof-hopper with titanium knees with effortless steeze.
