The French tradition of après-ski (meaning ‘after’) generally involves a few beers on the slopes at around 3pm before dancing on the tables in your ski boots, wobbling down the slope to your chalet and promptly throwing up in the toilets.
Après can be a more mellow affair if you’re French or over the age of 40 – along of the lines of quaffing vintage wines – but that’s not what we are talking about here.
