Feeling old is relative. For example, you’ll wake up the morning after your 30th birthday, with hairs suddenly sprouting from places they never have before, joints all of a sudden hurting for no discernable reason, and with the newfound inability to move from a seated to a standing position without making the kind of noise otherwise only heard when your flatmate has locked the bedroom door and set their browser to ‘incognito’.

Yes, you feel old. But then, you go back to visit your parents one weekend, only to discover they’ve started recording Bargain Hunt ever day, have estate agent brochures for Margate lying around the house, and somehow manage to break their internet connection every 30 minutes. All of a sudden, you feel all youthful and sprightly again.

You see, it’s relative. So, with that in mind, brace yourself to not only feel ancient, but also a bit shit.

Introducing 12 (TWELVE!) year-old Kokomo Murase. The tiny Japanese ripper is quite the dab-hand at snowboarding. Now, it’s not unusual these days to see young kids slashing about on snowboards. Hell, we can’t be far away from seeing a six-month-old riding switch.

But Myrase is not just a nipper honing around, she’s also doing tricks you can only ever dream of. Shit, she’s doing tricks you can only dream of doing half of.

Witness her here dropping a MASSIVE backside 1080. That’s three full rotations, high in the air, where you take off practically blind because you’re facing back up the mountain. Aged twelve, all I wanted to do was pretend I was an aeroplane and eat jam.
