With the August Bank Holiday just around the corner, and every shop imaginable flogging a Back To School range , it’s fair to say summer 2016 is coming to an end. But now’s not the time to mourn those barmy evenings chasing the last patch of sun around the park, or the many, many afternoons sat indoors watching Netflix while it pissed it down outside.
For the end of summer signals the start of the Snowboard Film Season (capitalised to make it seem like a real thing). Come September, the world – or at least the parts of it where check shirts and a lack of personal hygiene are requisite – will be buzzing with new snowboard movies.
In fact the ball has already started rolling. Last week we announced that the new Travis Rice movie, titled The Fourth Phase is dropping on 2nd October. It’s made by Brain Farm, the same crew behind Art Of Flight; a film which set a new benchmark for snowboarding movies, and this new film looks even better.
And the hype machine rumbles on today, as GoPro have released footage from the film that was shot entirely on one of their action cameras – unsurprisingly in eye-popping 4k.
