Great shredding needs great tunes. Whether you’re on two planks or one you need the rights tracks to get you in the groove. No-one knows this better than the pros themselves. We hit up some of the worlds leading skiers and snowboarder and got them to name their favourite mountain jams. There’s some eclectic picks there, from Black Country Rock to 90s House.
We’ve got the full playlist on Spotify so subscribe away as we’ll be adding to it as throughout the season. Turn it up to 11 and enjoy!
All the Small Things – Blink 182
First up we’ve got Arielle Gold‘s pick. The 17-year-old Burton rider has gone for a stone cold pop-punk classic.
Finally – Cece Peniston
Hana Beaman gets the party started with her choice. Huge tune.
Paranoid – Black Sabbath
Things take a turn for the heavy. Moustachioed shredder, Pat Moore, gives Ozzie a spin.
Pompeii – Bastille
A slight change in tone now. Katie Ormerod, GB snowboarding prodigy, brings things a bit more up to date with Bastille.
Beautiful Pain – Eminem ft. Sia
Onto the skiers choices. A track from Detroit’s finest, Marshall Mathers, is the jam of choice from Meg Olegnick.
Going up the Country – Kitty, Daisy & Lewis
2011 Freestyle Freeski champ, Anna Segal, takes things in a very different direction with teenage twee faux-50s outfit, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis.
93′ til’ Infinity – Souls of Mischief
Walter Wood outs himself as a bit of a backpack rap fan with this old school joint from Souls of Mischief.
Dig up Her Bones – Misfits
Rounding off the Pro’s picks we’ve got KC Deane. He’s gone with horror-punk legends, Misfits and the charmingly titled track, Dig up Her Bones.
Just to round things off to a nice round 10 – perfect mixtape length – we’ve got a couple of picks from the MPORA team to get you in the mood for hitting the powder.
Sail – Awolnation
Nice and epic, perfect for the mountains.
Iron – Woodkid
When it kicks in you’ll be flying down the slopes.
