Pro Snowboarders Beating Each Other Senseless – Lights Out Is Back!

This weekend the great and the good of the action sports world will descend on Munich for ISPO – the largest trade show in the industry. New gear will be there for all to see, parties will be had but the real highlight will be the Lights Out charity boxing event. Where else can you see big name professional snowboarders going hell for leather to knock each other out, and all for a good cause?

Lights Out is presented by the guys at 686, Warsteiner, Electro, ISPO and our friends at Onboard all in support of the Fuck Cancer charity. This year will feature the return of two European snowboarding heavyweights for what some have termed ‘The Pünchen in München’ as Bob Van Unnik and Victor de le Rue return to settle old scores – Marquess of Queensbury style.

The undercard bouts are yet to be announced but will likely feature the final, bloody chapter of the Skiing vs. Snowboard debate, boxing related girl on girl action, as well as industry insiders swapping their suits for monogrammed satin robes and trunks. They are well and truly ready to rumble.

The standard may not be high but the sweat is real and the cause is fantastic. The event is ticketed, with tickets free from the 686, Electric, and Onboard stands at ISPO before proceedings kick off on Monday 27 January with all proceeds going to the Fuck Cancer charity. If you’re in Munich get yourself down.
