Is this the year we finally get an adequate replacement for SSX 3? Fingers crossed.

Remember 2003? It was the year SSX 3 was released. Sure, some other things probably happened that year but one of the most significant as far as I’m concerned was the release of SSX 3. SSX 3, if you’re not familiar with it, was a critically acclaimed snowboarding game that made every snowboarding game before it and every snowboarding game that came out after it look like a puddle of piss. Christ on a spoon, SSX 3 was good. I mean it was really, really, good.

This year, after 13 years of waiting, it looks like snowboarders are finally going to get some games that can live up to the high standards set by the third SSX game. Not only are snowboarders, and skiers for that matter, getting Steep in 2016; they’re also getting Mark McMorris Infinite Air. Infinite Air, if the trailer is anything to go by, looks like it could be a real banger. It’s getting released on October 25th for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
