Try Surfing At Night
Surfing at night requires an alternate light source.
The full moon is a natural choice, but this requires careful planning and close attention to the weather. Fog or clouds will scuttle a full-moon session.
Pick a familiar break, and ensure the tide is high enough to cover any shallow reef or rocks, since you won’t be able to see them.
Alternatively, surf near a lighted pier or oceanfront building that illuminates the waves. As sharks may be attracted to them, it’s best that you don’t wear any lights on your person.
