Lakey is one of the leading women in surfing and has got all the tricks in the books from stylish turns to aggressive aerials. She’s grew up on the West Coast, in California, she has all the grace in the water you’d expect of the daughter of a national swimming champion.

She shot to fame when her journey was chronicled in the movie Zero to 100 which won critical acclaim, topped the iTunes charts and appeared in 44 countries around the world.

Since she was five she’s had the nickname ‘Lakey Surf Legend’. While some may have been burdened with such a presumptive nickname, the young American has apparently always seen the moniker as something to aspire to instead.
