At 21 years old, Carissa Moore is already breaking records. In 2011 she won her first ASP Women’s World Title, becoming the youngest ever champion. She went on to gain a wildcard entry into the Men’s Triple Crown of Surfing, becoming the first woman ever to do so.
Carissa is also the number one female surfer to beat at the moment. After all, she also took home last year’s championship, racking up 55,900 points and earning a cool US$90,500.
Unlike many of the other surfers on this list, Carissa shies away from the selfies and beach shots on her Instagram. It’s probably because she wants her main talent do the talking.
