Here, at Mpora, we wouldn’t exactly call ourselves bona fide art critics. That being said, we know what we like and we like things that look nice. Talking of things that look nice, these surf-inspired pieces by Blaze Syka certainly do look…nice.
We can’t quite put our finger on why we like these so much, but it’s probably got something to do with their minimalist aesthetic and unusual angles…or something. Look, if you want someone to tell you why certain paintings are better than others you’ve come to the wrong door. That shit is for BBC Four, and Sky Arts.
We’re here to tell you about cool things, relating to the fields of action sport and adventure. Surfing is an action sport, I think we can all agree on that, and these paintings are “cool things.” Ipso facto: Mpora presents cool surf art.
Hold up, one second, the artist is called Blaze. Blaze?!
