Well unless your specialist subject is visual artists based in Bergen, Norway, that’s completely understandable. To be perfectly honest, it’s only within the last week that Lie’s work has come to our attention. And boy, oh boy, is it work worthy of our attention.

Andreas has blurred the boundaries between wilderness and wildlife; creating photographs that are genuinely beautiful. The eye-melting images, done in Lie’s trademark double-exposure style, feature a subtle gradient that transforms the animals’ fur and feathers into visual representations of the environments they inhabit.
